Data Storage & Security
BudgetFlow employs a hybrid storage model to keep your data secure while providing convenient synchronization features:
Local-First Storage
All financial details, budgets, transactions, and settings are saved locally on your device. This guarantees fast access and offline capability.
Secure Cloud Sync
To back up your data and sync across multiple devices, BudgetFlow offers an optional cloud sync powered securely by Google Firestore.
Private & Credentialed
Authentication and database rules enforce strict, per-user encryption and access control. Nobody else can read or access your database node.
What We Can See
We adhere to a policy of minimal data exposure. The application developer has zero access to your financial records.
Only the email address associated with your registered account is visible in our backend console (Google Firestore). We cannot see, track, or query your budgets, transactions, balances, or bank credentials.
Third-Party Services
BudgetFlow utilizes Google Firebase/Firestore for database sync and authentication. Google's privacy practices govern these systems. We do not use any third-party advertising, trackers, or marketing SDKs that compromise your privacy.
